This year was the first that I was truly disappointed in the fall section at Dollar Tree (if I’m being totally honest). It was underwhelming and stocked with droves of chitzy stuff that seemed a waste of a dollar. FEAR NOT! That makes for a great opportunity to create your own gorgeous fall decor. While standing alone these items are nothing to write home about, together with a bit of glam-factor, they can be a beautiful addition to your home (or kitchen! or hair-styling routine!)

Dollar Tree Decor | Pottery Barn Dupes
Is anyone else as obsessed with Pottery Barn as I am? They have such classic, timeless decor and such exquisite presentation. My catalogs have drool on them. But overpriced stuff just isn’t my jam. I just “shop” inspiration. It’s free after all 😉 Besides, getting the high-end look for less gives me a high. Charlie laughs at me, because I’m easily over-excited by super glue and jute twine. It’s sort of a problem.
Here is one of the looks I was wanting to recreate. My favorite of all is this Egan Paneled Mirror that retails for $300.
The re-creation of this look has been floating around Pinterest for a while, and many versions involve particle board. But that’s a lot of work (and requires tools I don’t know how to use), so I knew that with some creative thinking I could make it happen completely from Dollar Tree. As in, no product from any other store…and I succeeded. You can literally create a $300 mirror for just $12!

Dollar Store Wreath: Under $10!
Here’s how I took $10 worth of supplies to create a beautiful spring wreath. We are just loving it. These retails for hundreds brand new!
Supplies:
- 7 Dollar Store sprigs- $7
- Wreath form (thrifted)- $1…. they do sell these at the Dollar Store, but they are smaller!
- Tulips on hand- Free!
Total: $9!

REFINISH FURNITURE WITHOUT SANDING
So this post is all about a super score that I shared on Instagram. I walked into Lowe’s..and they were going to THROW AWAY a brand new Rust-Oleum Cabinet Transformations
Anyway, there was this FANTASTIC piece outside of my in-law’s storage garage that the previous owners had left. And…there were mice living inside of it. Grody to the max. Ah I knew it was worthy of a makeover, though…so here’s what I did. Completely free and so easy to do.
Don’t have a sander? It’s easy to makeover furniture. I would totally do this again! Couldn’t wait to show you guys!

You guys asked, so here it is! Another gift idea for Christmas (or anytime, really!). We don’t always have a lot to spend, but this gift can be so personalized and elegant…no one has to know you made it for about 25 cents.
Directions to make your image backwards…
- Copy your image
- Paste into Microsoft Word
- Right Click Image
- Select “Format Picture”
- Click 3-D Rotation
- Change the “X” to 180!
- Click OK and your image should be backwards!
