Any other ideas for something to use besides the pool noodle. I live in Nebraska and those aren’t available year-round!
We had ours on hand (I always buy a few in the summer for craft projects). Sometimes the SuperWalmarts will carry them year round!
Wow! So fantastic. I hope you never stop sharing these videos. I’ve encouraged so many of my friends to follow you, too.
Just a thought….if you touch JUST the sides of the candy canes to water then put the wet sides together and maybe tie a tiny red ribbon to hold until they dry and stick together….they would still be edible.
Great idea!! Thanks, Myrna!
I love watching your video’s. I have gotten so much from them. Your table was beautiful. Seems like when I see what you get at the dollar tree, I cannot find at ours. Guess I get there to late. Keep posting
Thank you, Connie! Yes, during the Christmas season it can be a mad dash to find some of these things! Or you have to get very lucky when going in.
I used to do elaborate dinners for 15-20 people, like getting up at 0500 to clean and stuff a turkey, in addition to the three preceding days of making pies, cakes, cookies and sides. By the time guests arrived, I was too tired to enjoy them or the celebration.
Now, the day before a holiday, I make a killer lasagna, a simple salad (add dressing at the table), and garlic-butter Italian bread (simmer butter and garlic until garlic begins to brown, then spoon liberally on Italian loaves and wrap firmly in tinfoil). Everything goes into the fridge.
On the day of the holiday, I put the lasagna into the oven, add the bread a few minutes before the lasagna is done, toss the salad, and spend the time with my family and friends.
