My house is a mess, Kathryn. I have three kids. It’s overwhelming. How do you keep everything so tidy all the time? I’ve gotten more messages like this recently than I ever have before. My answer: I don’t. Real organizing isn’t a Pinterest board or unrealistic images in your head of everything in its place. You are making memories in your home. Let your family make them. Let things be out of place. In this video I explain what REAL organizing looks like and how you can start small to be more organized. What will you tackle this week?

You always have the best tips Kathryn. Thanks for all you do! Hugs, Brenda
I have enjoyed watching your videos and reading your blog! My pantry was an absolute mess and I was ashamed to even open the door. I took your advise and started small – taking out items and purchasing the small baskets from the Dollar Tree. WOW – it made such a huge difference and my pantry looks great. Small changes do make a huge difference. Many thanks for all your help and advise. Vickie Sarmina
I’m so glad to hear this, Vickie!
This isn’t a sponsored ad, but it’ll look like it. I’d seen homes with lower cabinet shelves which slide out a few times and thought, “MYYY, but those look great!” I researched and decided the best ones are found at shelvesthatslide.com. I got the 10 pack for our 10 lower cabinets. We did lose a few square inches of storage space, but it doesn’t matter due to the increased organization. Best of all, we can GET those nested glass mixing bowls from the back of the bottom cabinet quickly and easily. My husband recently said he thinks they’re the best purchase we ever made. They COST, but people can buy them one at a time. THESE ARE BOWL-ME-OVER AWESOME!
Love the “Realistic Organizing” video! Gotta share it with my niece. She has 5 kids and a full-time job outside her home!
God bless you too!
And for someone like me who doesn’t have room for a free-standing clothes rack, you can also just get over-the-door hooks to dry blouses. Just leave some room between each blouse. I can dry three shirts this way on each door I have a hook. The hooks are removable when company comes.
Thanks so much for sharing your ideas, Kathyrn. I love watching your videos!
Love that!
What an encouraging vlog. Thanks so much. I’ve been following you for nearly 6 mos, and your tips have helped me more than I can say!
I love the CD organizing idea. I have so many CDs I need to do this too. Where did you get the sleeves to put your CDs in ?
