My Dad moved into his condo fairly recently. It’s a very small, two bedroom (under 1,300 sq. ft), and since he’s moved I’ve been helping him transform his space on a budget. Today I tackled the bathroom and master closet. Both extremely small spaces. In the master bathroom we made some super easy updates like getting a new shower curtain, changing out the Showerhead for a more updated and better flowing fixture and replaced the shower pan with something chrome to go with the overall aesthetic. We also decorated the place with some clearance Target art and Goodwill find. I also found some Command Picture-Hanging Strips. They work so well if you don’t want to damage our walls or have heavy art that could get bumped in and out of a room. This stuff legit holds it in place. It was my first time using them and I was quite impressed. The biggest change was installing a Rotator Rod that allows you to bow your shower curtain inwards and outwards so you have more room in the shower and more room in the bathroom. It’s a win-win. And lucky you, they are GIVING one away to one of you (see below to enter!) We also tackled the master closet using Dollar Tree bins and a shoe rack. From Goodwill. Yup. Cheap and effective and literally doubles that “dead” closet space. I can’t get over how obsessed with it I am. I also love the Over-The-Door Shoe Organizer. They are perfect for closets.

I love your videos and thanks for sharing info on the Rotator Rod. We have a small hall bathroom and when we bought our house they had a rod similar to this but it does not rotate. I have to velcro the shower curtain to the tub so it doesn’t hit the toilet. This is the perfect solution for me. Thanks so much!

It comes with hooks! They just sit right over the door. They are low profile and easy to use 🙂 Good luck!

Another wonderful job you have done, Kathryn! Love watching your videos. You have such wonderful ideas. The Rotator Rod is super nice. I would really like to have one for my small bathroom. Thank you for the chance to win one of them.
That shower rod is amazing and you always have the best organizing tips.
I love watching your videos. I have learned so much! I have told several of my friends about your blog. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
How smart and functional. Great new product.
I never knew I could get bins at the dollar tree. I love organizing, but never had a system! My apartment is starting to look amazing and it’s thanks to your videos!
Wow!!! Such a great makeover! I really wanted to see the reaction of your dad when you showed him but I bet he was very happy with the results.
I had NO IDEA such an awesome shower curtain rod like that existed and now I must have one for my very dated and small bathroom. I’m also definitely looking into that shower head as mine leaks and is terrible to look at. I hope I can make my bathroom look just as great.
Thanks so much and always enjoy all your videos.
That rotator shower curtain rod is absolutely genius! I am disabled and have a shower bench that has two legs outside of the shower so I can transfer into the tub. I struggle with the shower curtain all the time. I had thought about the curved rod, but frankly this is SO much better. I know so many people have entered the chances of winning are slim, but I am praying for a Miracle. I don’t think I can afford to purchase one, but if I won it, I think my apartment would have the maintenance install it. It seems like a wonderful solution for so many people and reasons, I am sure it will be a big hit. Thank you for making me aware of it.
You did a fantastic job on your Dad’s apartment,I wish you could come to Atlanta and help with mine! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas and tips. I have been following you for quite some time and always enjoy your content.
Hugs and prayers,
Maureen
Oh, I had a question as well, where did you find the clear over the door shoe rack? I can only find ones you can’t see through and am looking for a clear one. Thank you for any help you can provide.
Maureen
Hey, Marueen! is a link to the one I like directly in this post 🙂 Good luck and God bless you!
Love the products you introduce.. hate that by the time I get to the dollar store most of the good stuff is sold out. Thanks for all of your ideas I have implemented plenty of them at home.
I’m sure your dad is delighted with the simple yet effective changes you made in his closet and bathroom. I usually go through my closets, cupboards and drawers a couple of times a year and get a great deal of satisfaction when I find a new home for things I no longer need.
I recently came across your videos while searching for Dollar Tree hauls. I find your storage solutions very helpful in my quest to get more organized.
Would love to use this Rotator Rod in my bathroom.
Just discovered your channel today and subscribed. Going to Dollar Tree later today to look for the spatula and grater.
Just found you this week on Youtube. You have some great ideas that I plan on using in my home. Thanks for the chance to win the shower rod!
So excited About this!! I am looking forward to spring cleaning the bathroom area now! 😉
