The best questions to ask yourself when purging those items with lots of emotional attachment. From a real person in real-life circumstances. And you know what?…I made this video as much for me as I did for you. 🙂
SAVE $$ w/Freezer Organization {Fridge and Chest Freezer}
I posted this fridge organization video, and many of you asked to see how I organize my freezer. You ask, and I try my best to make it happen!
** GET YOUR FREE FREEZABLE FOODS LIST HERE!**
These are my favorite fridge organization tips plus a super sweet free printable for you guys. YOU CAN SAVE SO MUCH MONEY BY FREEZING FRESH FOODS! Since we’ve purchased our chest freezer, I’ve gotten really into maximizing it’s use. Over the past couple weeks I pulled together this Freezable Foods list about what are the best items to freeze. Print it. Share it. Tack it on your fridge…er…freezer? These are just my experiences with freezing items and how they’ve worked for us. This list is by no means exhaustive, so I would love to see what works for you!
If you are looking to freeze veggies (it will change your life) check out this list from the wonderful people of Canada. (I heard Canada.) I’m not kidding. It’s my favorite one online. And I really do heart Canada and their love of Tim Hortons. <3
Carson’s Room Tour!
Before Carson was born I implemented an easy system in his closet that would make folding clothes and the hassle of constant clothing transition things of the past. A favorite are these closet dividers…plus I love how they are LESS THAN $5!
Lots of you have asked to see an updated closet tour. Did it actually work??? That was one thing I found when watching YouTube videos of moms. You would see “great systems” implemented, but never find out if they stood the test of time (as many things don’t with kids).
So, here’s how his room looks today. It’s not perfect (and far from perfectly decorated!) but it is such a functional and easy to maintain space in our house. Here’s what I do to keep it easy peasy.
Also, here are the Closet Organizers that I love so much. They are perfect for those first years of so much growing and transition!
Would love to hear your favorite tips!

HOW TO DEAL WITH A MESSY SPOUSE!
I get a lot of emails and questions for video requests from you. And I want you to know that I have a list of all of them, and I really try to address issues that you want to hear about. I’M SO FAR FROM PERFECT, AND MY ADVICE IS NOT THE BE-ALL-END-ALL (I mean please, lol), but when I have something on my heart, I like to pass it along to you.
This video addresses what to do when you have a messy spouse who destroys all of your organizing systems like crazy, or isn’t on board with changing your home and purging.
My approach is love and logic based (yes, that’s the teacher in me…in fact all of these tips are the same things that I do with kids, too!). I mention in the video, this book– The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts, and I truly feel that is is applicable to not just organization, but every aspect of your relationship. It was a “thing” a few years ago, but I truly love it so much.
So, here you go…my rambly, goofy self…

MAKE LAUNDRY EASIER!
I loathe laundry… I feel like it never ends. I like to have my drawers organized, though. It’s oddly very important to me. It stresses me out to have a disorganized drawer.
I know they sell these…
They are nifty (although expensive) contraptions–this one is called the MiracleFold— that allow you to fold your shirts perfectly. But I have a few tricks up my sleeves that have made putting away clothes at our house a breeze.
Here are my four favorite tips for laundry and t-shirt organization!

Quit decluttering!
I know. So unlike me. But I’m talking about your photos.
There have been so many times where going through my phone, I would delete pictures to make space. I’m sure you do it, too. Eliminate most of those rapid-fire shots you took 80 of to get the right one.
If you have kids you know what I’m talking about 😉
We instinctively go through pictures and find smiles to save, because surely those are the moments of most joy and worth remembering. And then we delete the photos where we aren’t looking at the camera, it was slightly out of focus, somebody was in the middle of a sneeze, or the moment wasn’t what we were intending to capture.
But life is made of those in-between moments.
And when strung together, they somehow capture it better than those “look over here” smiles anyway.
I’m not a photographer, and I’m sure not “doing it right.” All of these images were taken with my iPhone. All you need.
Today, I’m thankful that I stopped myself from hitting that delete button on these guys. Sometimes we just move so fast and we are looking for “the shot.” I was moments away from deleting all of them…and then I stopped and hit the black and white button 😉
