Time for a speed cleaning motivation video! I’m a sucker for a good cleaning routine. I love having a clean and organized kitchen, but a daily cleaning routine isn’t going to cut it all the time…especially when you open the oven! Ha! In this episode of #knowinwithowen we tackle how to clean a toaster oven, how to clean an oven, how to clean burned pans, and how to clean your dishwasher. I hope these tips help you!

We aren’t aiming for perfect

Come hang out with us on this hot July day! Just real life. Real messes. Snotty little ones. …and our house isn’t that clean to be honest. And we are surviving nights of little sleep and this beautiful season with our kids. I haven’t vlogged in so long and I don’t want to let these little imperfect and precious memories slip by without capturing them. Today we get a visit from our friend in the fairy garden, head to a 12 month doctor appointment for an Owen update, I show you my planner, Carson has a little heart to heart with the camera, and I give you a garden tour. Bathroom Organization & Speed Cleaning (tips for Kids’ Spaces!)

Night Time Cleaning Routine (100% natural!) feat. E-Cloth

In this clean with me video I share my (all natural) night-time cleaning routine!  Chemical free speed cleaning. ?  I love taking 30 minutes every night to make my house feel fresh and new again to start the morning off on the right foot.

For the biggest bang for your buck, I recommend the starter pack of 8 cloths.  It cleans your entire house, and it works out to under $5 a cloth.  Most cloths last for 300 washes (I’ve been washing mine every 3-5 days), and you don’t need to buy any product or make any DIY solutions for them to work and clean 99% of bacteria.  Just use water!

Morning Cleaning Routine – Dollar Tree Products!

In this clean with me video, I share with you my daily, morning cleaning routine (which goes from about 8 am to 11:30 am).  These are the quick chores I do around my home every day to stay on top of the crazy.  Raising little people is unpredictable and my family comes first.  So I am for 80% of this schedule 80% of the time.  But I know when I have a clean house I feel better and it makes our lives simpler and easier.  I hope you find this video motivating and give a thumbs up if you want to see more cleaning videos on my channel!

Budget Laundry Routine!

In this video I share my budget and natural laundry routine with you!  Plus I show you how we organize our laundry room and make sure to get all the of the laundry done perfectly.  Or just done.  Or mostly done most of the time 😉  Ha!  Enjoy 🙂

I’ve been using these for 1.5 years.  Here’s tips to maximize their effectiveness that I have found when working with them (lots of you saw my old video and asked for an update!)
– Wash with hot water when possible
– Do not overfill load (this causes the balls not to have proper agitation of clothes)
– Just like any load, spot treat major stains first using a baking soda and hydrogen peroxide paste)
– Let dry in the sun for the day once every 30 days
– Great on musty towels!

Five Tips for a Cleaner Home

I’m partnering with O-Cedar to bring you five tips for a cleaner home, starting with your floors.  I already owned their mop before this collaboration, and I knew how well it works!  Achieving a clean home with kids can be hard, so these are realistic solutions for busy families.

TIP 1: CREATE A SHOE-DROP ZONE

I genuinely clean my home 50% less by having a no-shoe policy indoors. Think about all the dirt and dust you track inside by wearing your shoes around the home.  For cleanliness sake it’s important, but just think of all the TIME you spend cleaning.  Yeah, I’m cool with cleaning less!  Having a designated shoe mat will help hold you to this policy (and remind guests without you having to).  If you live in a cold climate, keep some dollar store socks on hand for guests who want to keep their feet warm.

TIP 2:  EMBRACE THE VACUUM

Or at a minimum the hose extension.  I really don’t sweep much.  I just vacuum my floors, under the table, and even right on the table for crumby messes.  It’s fast.  It’s easy.  And it WORKS. I fully recommend a cordless vacuum cleaner such as the Eufy Homevac for cleaning the house, as it’s just super simple and easy to use. If you don’t have one, check out these ones recommended by Appliance Hunter.

TIP 3:  GET A SPIN MOP

We love our O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop and Bucket System.  I picked mine up on Walmart when my previous mop kicked the bucket.  It’s awesome because you don’t have to bend to use it, you can control the amount of water that goes on the floor (perfect for wood floors), and it’s FAST.  Like really fast.  Plus no streaks.  I paid for it using my own money, so when the brand reached out and wanted to partner with me AND give 6 mops away (see above), I jumped at the chance!

TIP 4: MAKE YOUR OWN FLOOR CLEANER

To clean my floors I use a 1:4 ration of distilled white vinegar to water with just a few drops of dish soap.  It’s worked super well for us and is all natural!

TIP 5: REFRESH YOUR CARPETS

Sprinkle baking soda on your carpets.  Let sit for 20 minutes and vacuum up.  This makes your carpet soft and plush again, plus your home will smell amazing!
