Happy summer! In this video, I’ll show you how to make a DIY Pool or Hot Tub Drying Towel Rack. This also works great for pool toys and floaties. Similar products sell online anywhere from $200-300. It’s crazy! And you can make one for right around $35. We have been using this for weeks and absolutely LOVE it! It’s sturdy, and once you watch this simple tutorial, you’ll see how easy it is to put together!

I have an above ground pool with a small deck around it. The entire yard is landscaped/hardscaped so there is no room for your exact project. Would love to see a mini version.
Always Love your videos!!

Hi Pam,
This is such a great idea and just in time for the fourth of July pool party.
We just put ours together but when we did the back two up right legs we made 36″ like the diagram and they are to short ….
what is your size?
I just didn’t want any body to cut all the parts like we did and they don’t work..
Agree, mine doesn’t fit together either
You are supposed to use the 48″ pieces for the back uprights. The video is not clear. Even then, you may need to trim the 8.5″ pieces a bit.

We don’t do pools lakes or many water spots but I can see this being used at home for a laundry dryer for delicates that don’t go in the clothes dryer. Also good for craft projects!
Where did you get the pvc pieces? HD doesn’t sell the 3 way elbow tees in store and after adding everything up it comes to $45 – without the cutter!
Try the internet, that’s where i got the T’s and elbows.
Hi Kathryn! Love your DIY towel rack. I’d love to use this though for my laundry since we don’t have a pool 😉
Sounds like an easy great idea. We are Florida pool people.
I tried this today and it went well! I took one of the bars from the front and added it to the back of the rack in case I had something bigger I wanted to hang. I also, plan on spray painting mine to match the house as well. Side note. I had to go to both Lowes and Home Depot because like Sarah said, HD didn’t have the 3 way connectors. I should have just gone to Lowes. In addition, they both offer Military discounts so I got 10% off. Definitely, buy the cutters like the video and not the one like I did at first that you have to twist around each pipe which gave me blisters on my hand and took entirely way too long until I had the cutters.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you were able to make the pool towel rack!
Did the sizes work for you? I saw the comments above that the back legs were too short
