In this video I share how to create an outdoor chandelier from the Dollar Tree (a simple Pottery Barn dupe that costs just $2 if you already have a string of Christmas lights at home). This pendant orb light is a perfect way to decorate your patio or backyard for summer. And rustic outdoor staple. Also perfect for weddings! Gorgeous and simple.
Supplies:
2 metal wire baskets (Dollar Tree)
Metal Floral wire (Dollar Tree)
String of 100 White Christmas Lights: http://amzn.to/2rMMhCK
To hang:
Attach hook to hanging mechanism on pergola or outdoor fixture. To hang lower and make the chain longer, use the leftover excess chain from one of the metal planter baskets.

You could do this with battery operated lights and then you’d be able to hang in more places…..maybe in a tree or where there’s no outlet. Live it.
I love this! For the power source, most outlets in my home and patio are near the ground… How are yours plugged in?
Saw the other day where you can cut small pieces of colored straws and slip them over the lites to have a certain color scheme – fun!
Love your Blog! Fantastic idea. Thanks for posting.
Hi Kathryn,
Just wanted to let you know that when I clicked on subscribe, it took me to a “page not available” screen. I got the subscription notification, however, just wanted to keep you posted.
Thanks for this wonderful idea. I just love it. I do have a question…Where do you plug these in?
Thanks and as usual, I enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing what you come up with each week. I did order the E-Cloth pack and love, love, love them.
