Kathryn, regarding the Travel Dressing Containers…great idea!
BUT–most screw tops have a good chance of leaking in airplane luggage where the pressure lowers in the baggage compartment, or in a car trunk where it gets hot and the contents expand.
To keep the liquids inside the containers, unscrew the top and place a plastic bag (you can cut it into a smaller piece or use a sandwich bag so it’s not so big) over the screw threads. Then put the cap back on and tighten.
The plastic bag will completely fill any tiny gaps in the threads and make the container leakproof.
Thanks, super great idea to add to this travel hack.
Your ideas are always appreciated for being practical & thrifty. One additional idea for shoes is to use the long plastic bags used for newspaper delivery – free & plentiful!
Great tip!
