Here’s a bonus video this week! I’ve been using this trick for about 6 months. It’s the best and cheapest dry shampoo hack I have found that is just as good if not BETTER than the store-bought stuff. It’s natural and easy on the wallet… baby powder! I use pure cornstarch baby powder with aloe and vitamin E. Make sure you use something without talcum in it. More on why here. If you don’t have baby powder, you can also use regular cornstarch ($1 for a pound at Walmart).
For those of you who are brunette (my friend recommend this to me who is a brunette), it should work for you no problem. Just make sure to work it into the roots of your hair well. I’ve seen some people online add coco powder to help it blend, but she said this wasn’t necessary.

Whoa–dying to try this (no pun intended)–just spend $$ @ the drugstore buying the stuff in a can. I was afraid to try powder, as my hair is very dark. Thanks–again!!
I’d be interested on feedback from a dark brunette ( as i am one too) as to whether or not you can see any residue in the hair after using. Thanks.
Been doing this since I was in my teens in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
The dry shampoo is a great idea, I especially like the idea of adding cocoa for darker hair. I used to do this when I was a teenager and got squeezed out of the bathroom in the morning. It actually sort of adds volume for limp hair like mine.
I really enjoy a lot of your tips. I’ve been making/using your anti-wrinkle cream for about 6 months now and all my friends are completely addicted to it. They absolutely love how well it brightens their complexions and softens sun-damaged skin.
Hi Kathryn,
I love your channel! I am having a problem with my pantry. It’s small and narrow. It’s right next to the fridge. And it’s one of those pantries if you were to stack items in back of each other you wouldn’t be able to tell unless you moved them. I would really like it to be functional. I’ve called myself organizing it twice but I’m still not totally satisfied with it. I’ve attached a link to a pantry that is exactly like mine. Heelp please!
