Here’s how we organize our recipes, make meal planning easy so I can shop sales, and save money by not wasting food.
It really boils down to three keys for us: having an easy access space for our recipes in a quick access binder, freezing foods we won’t eat right away and having ready to go meals in the freezer, and doing a bi-monthly fridge cleanout.
DOWNLOAD MY FREEZER GUIDE HERE and stop food waste! You can freeze just about anything from milk, to butter, to fruit!
Here’s what I use to create my recipe binder. I was inspired by Alejandra.tv to create this system:
Two of my favorite websites for creating recipes on the fly are Super Cook and My Fridge Food.
How do you save on food and plan your meals? Would love to hear what you are doing at your house!
love this! I used binders for warranties . One stays at home if we move and one comes with us if we were to move! I got idea from Alejandra tv as well.
I am not a good cook but I am trying. My daughter is so picky and she’s 15! Where do you get your recipes? I’ve used allrecipes.com. I do make my pancakes from scratch! Love your videos. They get right to the point and not too long!
Pinterest and family recipes are my go-tos!!! 🙂
Hi Kathryn, I love your YouTube channel! I’ve used a couple of your tips and they help tremendously. I Have a question: have you ever made a video of a no grocery shopping for a month or on a small budget? I’m sure the meal prep and recipe binder/organizer helps. I’m wondering since I’m on a very tight budget myself. Thanks!
HafAloha Kathryn!
I love watching your youtube channel. You are so helpful 🙂
