I have always wanted some of these spring dividers from Container Store/lots of other places. Apparently they are awesome and work really, really well… like nearly 5 stars well. Almost anywhere I’ve looked. Pretty darn solid.
As much as I dream about owning them one day, rather than shell out the money (because you know you can’t just get ONE…these things are like potato chips), I decided to try my hand at making my own. And I am so glad I did. They were so EASY to make. The whole process probably took me 30 minutes start to finish? Easy peasy, and the result is awesome.
What I used for this project (click to learn more):…and YES THE DOLLAR TREE CARRIES FOAM BOARD! You’re welcome 😉
They are sturdy and professional looking… and I want to keep doing this to all of my drawers!
Here’s how to make them step-by-step…day by day by day….;)
Great idea Kathryn!
Thanks, Barbara!
So creative. I’m thinking I can do this organizing Legos! So cool. Thanks for the demo!
This would be awesome with legos 🙂
I hope you’ll post a video on this.
Hey, Ingrid 🙂 I do have a video! Should be with this post and on my youtube channel. xo!
Oh yes I saw it after I posted my comment. Lol… My bad. Thx so much!
Fantastic! Right now I have been using the clear spinach containers from Costco to organize my socks and undergarments. It works but your method is better, less space wasted! Kudos ! Dale UN beso grande a Carson y dile que mi hijo y yo marchamos para Europa en pocos Dias! Rick Steve’s Tour y despues diez dias con la familia en Asturias !
I absolutely love this , I left a comment on one of your videos asking if you may do a video on your favorite coupon sites. I would absolutely love it thanks much !!
Hi Kathryn,
I have been watching your videos for a long time! I really love your channel. You are a lovely family! I got so excited about your blog. I will be following you via bloglovin. Thanks for all your inspirational ideas .Kissing Carson what a cute baby!!!!
You have made my day, girlfriend. My husband needs a “dump” drawer in our kitchen (a place where at the end of his day he can empty his pockets, ect) rather than leave his stuff on the counter top. It is an eye sore. I have a drawer but did not want to spend the money on plastic dividers. Armed with the inspiration, I can simply cut to his specific needs and he can get his junk off my kitchen counter once and for all. THANK YOU SO MUCH! p.s. Love your YouTube channel
I’m a huge fan! Definitely see some foam boards and box cutters in my near future
Love this solution!! I just threw away those awful container store spring loaded deals. I was using them in several different locations and they ended up ruining my drawers over time. The constant pressure they put on the opposing ends makes even well built drawers start to separate. They look awesome and at first I loved them but now I am really bummed. Your solution looks so much more furniture friendly.
