Hey, guys! In this video Carson and I share a $1 Christmas gift idea that you are going to LOVE (you are going to get addicted and make these for yourself and all your bathrooms, too!) It’s smells so much better than store bought!
SUPPLIES:
Pure Castile Soap
Foaming Hand Soap Pump (I found mine at the dollar store!)
Vitamin E
Peppermint Essential Oil
DIRECTIONS:
Add 2 cups of water to your dispenser
Add 2 tablespoons of Castile soap (very important you do not add this first or you will have a foamy mess!)
Add 3-4 drops Vitamin E
Add 5-6 drops of essential oil (our soap is lavender scented and peppermint paired nicely with it)

Clean with me! Some much needed cleaning motivation (on a budget of course). After lots of requests, I FINALLY made a video of my weekly whole house cleaning routine. I have daily cleaning routines that keep me organized and on top of the house (these take about 20-30 minutes a day), and my weekly cleaning routines (which incorporate monthly ones one or twice throughout the week) take 20-30 minutes a day. I want to spend LESS THAN AN HOUR A DAY staying on top of my house. And even then, we have young kids, so spotless floors aren’t my number one priority. Of course, you’re gonna need some basic housework equipment for your cleaning responsibilities, so you might be required to have a look on somewhere like Bissell if you’re short of things like vacuum cleaners.
I aim to get 80% of what I’m showing here done 80% of the time. I hope you find it motivating, helpful and learned some hacks and tips you can use in your home! If you want me to make a video of my daily and monthly/bi-monthly/yearly cleaning routines, let me know in the comments. Blessings and love! Remember, give yourself grace and love the season of life you are in (especially with little ones). Your kids are making memories.
Once a month, I’ll utilise a housekeeping service to come in and absolutely deep clean the whole house. I’ll take the kids out and let them clean everything. That way, I can stay on top of the maintenance, and let another company handle the deep cleaning (the hard work part). My friend had her restaurant commercially cleaned by GREEN FACILITIES and it looked amazing. There’s nothing better than a clean environment.

Yup. I’m pretty minimalist when it comes to makeup. I have two eyeshadow pallets and I only keep what I use. BUT, here are my favorite tips and tricks to clean and organize my space to have my vanity be an oasis in our bedroom! Speed clean with me! Organize my makeup with me, clean organizing containers (yup, even the fabric ones), and clean your brushes fast. Using all Dollar Tree and Dollar Store products. I LOVE budget organization and natural cleaning!
My vanity: World Market (Also at Bed Bath and Beyond), Usually around $130 or less if you can catch a sale!
My cleaning cloths (use only water, last for years!)
DIY Wood Cleaner:
1 3/4 cup water
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. essential oil (I like lemon)

Time for a speed cleaning motivation video! I’m a sucker for a good cleaning routine. I love having a clean and organized kitchen, but a daily cleaning routine isn’t going to cut it all the time…especially when you open the oven! Ha! In this episode of #knowinwithowen we tackle how to clean a toaster oven, how to clean an oven, how to clean burned pans, and how to clean your dishwasher. I hope these tips help you!
We just got back from vacation! You can watch our latest vlog here.
P.S. Did anyone catch his little Knowin’ With Owen shirt? It was hard to see in this video!
Products mentioned:
*Cloths to naturally clean and polish
*Amazing oven cleaner (for a factory re-set!)
