Hey, guys! You seem to love this series, so today I am showing you how to make a solid wood console table for just $15. This DIY requires NO skill. Similar items online are upwards of $200, so it’s crazy how quickly you can make something similar on a dime!
MATERIALS:
Four 8 feet furring strips ($1.98 each) and have them cut in store as follows (this is free):
Four 8″ pieces
Four 30″ pieces
Four 50″ pieces
Top piece cut to 10″ x 54″, usually they come in 6′ lengths for about $6 (I prefer 1 inch thick here, up to you).
Total cost of supplies is about $15. I used a small amount of Dark Walnut Stain and once that dried, used a Polycrlic finish (2 coats) over the project to help protect it! You need a VERY small amount of both!

Is this very sturdy or not
I was very happy with how it turned out. 🙂 I would stay it was sturdy. We weren’t using it to hold a lot of weight, but we didn’t have any issues.
Also what type of wood is this. i was told pine wood is hard to stain
I believe it was pine. We were using a dark stain, and it worked for us!
