In this video I share my budget and natural laundry routine with you! Plus I show you how we organize our laundry room and make sure to get all the of the laundry done perfectly. Or just done. Or mostly done most of the time 😉 Ha! Enjoy 🙂
PRODUCTS MENTIONED:
**Crystal Wash Detergent Free Laundry Balls (20% off)
I’ve been using these for 1.5 years. Here’s tips to maximize their effectiveness that I have found when working with them (lots of you saw my old video and asked for an update!)
– Wash with hot water when possible
– Do not overfill load (this causes the balls not to have proper agitation of clothes)
– Just like any load, spot treat major stains first using a baking soda and hydrogen peroxide paste)
– Let dry in the sun for the day once every 30 days
– Great on musty towels!
Greenshield Organic Laundry Detergent
We use this on sheets and comforters. The Costco bottle is the most economical and lasts a long time.
**Dryer Balls
We LOVE these. You can also use tennis balls. We don’t because it is loud and the kids’ rooms are right next to the laundry room.

This was great! This may sound like a no-brainer, but I’ve found it very helpful to have a hamper that is already divided. I have one similar to this https://www.walmart.com/ip/MaidMAX-Heavy-Duty-3-Bag-Laundry-Sorter-Rolling-Laundry-Sorter-Cart-with-4-Wheels/128725711. That way when dirty clothes go in the work is done. And I can just pick up that section from the rack and take it the laundry room. Saves time having to sort!
Great tip, Brittany!
Love all of your posts and I am working my way to organization, one Dollar Tree basket at a time. Thanks for your laundry tips. I have the same washer and don’t you find the location of the detergent/softner cups to be in a rather odd spot? Perhaps it’s just me, lol 🙂
Haha, it is weird, but it’s nice because if you spill it just goes right into the drum!
As usual well worth watching. I live in an apartment and have to lug laundry found it easier to go to Dollar store get collapsible hampers blue for colors and white for whites!

Hi Kathryn, As usual I enjoyed your video. I look forward to your new videos each week. I have never heard of baking soda and vinegar getting out stains before. I am going to try this, but was wondering how well it works. I have resulted to Stanley degreaser when getting out grease stains and formula stains. If I can use something more natural and still does a good job then I’am all for it
Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide get out stains really well. Make a paste and apply. Oxiclean is also awesome.

Kathryn,
I am so excited that I found your blog! While we are empty nesters, there are still so many great things I learn from you! I am so excited to learn about this use for vinegar! Isn’t it the greatest thing on the planet? 🙂 Also, your I am now making your granite wipes and wood cutting board wipes. They re awesome! The great news is that our lab puppy hates the way the granite cleaner tastes so she is not so likely to “counter serf!” Thanks again and Happy New Year from Alabama!
I’m so glad, Susan! Welcome to the community 🙂
