This year I traveled to California with my sister-in-law for Vidcon 2015. VidCon is short for “Video Conference” and is the largest video blogger convention hosted in the Anaheim convention center every summer. The conference was started by John and Hank Greene and just celebrated it’s 6th year.
This adventure was my first experience traveling for and truly investing in my YouTube channel. Living in North Carolina, outside of my standard “naptime editing”, leaving comments, or random meetings with viewers out and about (I always love that!), I don’t get the opportunity often to be in a place with so many creators and be challenged to grow. We have family in the area, so that made everything even sweeter. Plus I mean, it’s sunny Southern California!
The following videos summarize the entire trip…thoughts, feelings, emotions, and an exciting collaboration!. Hope you enjoy!

Hey Kathryn! I love your blog… Great useful info, a totally balanced approach to life and you have a great genuine happiness! You’re by far my favorite blogger! You blog about things I find super useful in my day to day life! And I have a Carson too:) I love seeing your little guy in your videos- his voice is just way too cute!:)
I loved a couple of your pantry organization videos. I have tried to keep my pantry tidy. I use some dollar tree storage bins and also keep some shelf space free for larger items, etc. Here’s my question… My pantry is only tidy when the things in it fit into the storage containers. Too often those containers are just overflowing with boxes which defeats the purpose. I take individually packaged things out of the box and store them that way(like granola bars) but what about bigger things like boxes of pasta, bags of chips, etc? I feel like every time I go food shopping I have to totally reconfigure. You may have addressed this previously? I really want my pantry to be super functional as well as pretty!
Thanks so much for your time!!!
The “shopping reconfigure.” I do this, too! Totally normal, I think! The only strategy I find that works is once every 4 weeks we eat down our pantry/fridge to almost nothing, so we don’t waste food, and that eliminated the pile-up and naturally re-sets things. I don’t know if that’s the answer you were looking for, but it really helps us!
