Easy BULK COOKING: Stuffed Shells

I love making budget friendly, easy, and healthful food for my family.  I want to save as much time as possible, so this is an easy way to cook three meals in one day…less clean-up, less extra work.  Win-win!

This recipe was adapted from The Way To His Heart blog, who had adapted it from from A Pinch of This & That.  It’s fun take yummy food and adapt the recipe to make it fit your taste and family!

    We saw this vid and made it right away (for lunch anyway). It was a HIT with everyone!! Will be making it again this week. I will try to make enough for 2 meals by doubling your recipe (we are 10 people here-haha). So keep thinking of these great things.

    We couldn’t find the large shells at our grocery, so I adapted your recipe using rotini pasta and mixing the meat filling, pasta, and sauce together. I layered it over the salsa in the bottom of the pan and covered it with cheese like you suggested. Topped with green onion, tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream made a meal my family loved!!! As a teacher on a snow day, I loved having the time to provide a warm, nourishing meal for my family. They were excited to know that there are two more casseroles in the freezer!! Good thing, too… they ate this one up!! Thank you!!!! 🙂

    Kathryn, I tried these shells & liked them. Thanks! Also I read one of your YT viewers comments about using freezer paper & I discovered a new favorite product! And I was so pleased, I wrote about it for Better Budgeting’s e-zine & had it published. http://www.betterbudgeting.com/savemoney/freezing-meals-with-ease.htm If you haven’t tried this tip, you must! I came across this idea just when I was thinking about buying small glass containers for individual meals but couldn’t figure out where I’d store more dishes. Great solution all around!
