As a NC therapist all I can say is thank you for this! Thank you for sharing your story with so many. It hurts my heart to see how often people struggle to reach out for the support they need when dealing with mental health struggles. Seeing someone they admire and respect, talk about their own struggle, or the struggles of a loved one, normalizes mental health. It can almost give someone permission to say “I’m not ok, and maybe it’s time ask for help”. Thank you for being a part of ending the stigma. You’ll never know for sure, but I’d be willing to bet you helped save at least 1 life by sharing this.
