Hey, guys! Today’s video is an open digital letter. I originally had wanted to film an ultimate clean with me. One of those cleaning motivation videos that I love so much, too. After all, you loved my recent Swedish Death Cleaning video: before and afters are so satisfying! Since we just had a long weekend, friends were in town, and life was fun busy and full, it seemed the perfect time. But as I cleaned I had all these thoughts swimming in my head that I wanted to share. So, I started writing instead and this came out. Something different, something on my heart. It’s as much written to me as it is to you. Love you guys so much. You are extraordinary.

Thank you for this message about mediocrity. I was inspired by your focus on family relationships and what really matters. My husband and I are caretakers for my mom who recently turned 102. A lot of responsibilities fall on our shoulders. But aside from the work what really matters is keeping mom healthy and for all of us to enjoy these moments together.
Thank you for sharing your story! It sounds like your mom is truly blessed to have you to care for her.
Thank you for your letter Kathryn. You are such a blessing. Thank you for such great words of wisdom. From a mediocre Gram in SC.
Thanks for this, Debra! ๐
What a fantastic letter. I wish someone had shared that when I was a younger mama. Such powerful, life giving words. Thank you
Spread the word to all the young mamas you meet! ๐
Awesome!
Loved this video so much! Thank you Kathryn! My kids are all grown up now – 24 and 21. I love watching you and your family grow together. Wish I had YouTube when mine were little. Thanks for sharing and God bless you and your family!!!
Thank you for this, Sondra! ๐
Years ago I started following FlyLadyPlus. Many of your ideas about cleaning and life echo her thoughts. This letter parallels her idea that we need to let go of our perfectionism. โGood is good enough.โ Thanks for reminding me. Love the joy you have in your family and home. You are terrific!
Thank you, Lee!
As an old Mom of seven, 14-32, I want you to know that you are encouraging to me too. I am reminded that the word enthusiastic comes from the Greek โ en Theo โ which means full of God, and defines you beautifully. You are doing good work. Gods blessing upon you and your house.
Thank you for this, Ann! May God bless you today! ๐
This is such a powerful message. I love all your videos but this is the best. Your honesty is welcome and refreshing. Itโs good to know that your house isnโt always perfect.
Thanks for this comment, Diane! ๐
I feel like we are kindred spirits who just haven’t met yet! I love your videos that are so full of kindness and joy. You are a blessing to me!
Thank you for these sweet words, Diane! ๐
