Hey guys! In today’s video, we tackle the garage! My friend told me that I might possibly need to contact someone similar to Garage Door Repair Aurora CO to check a weird kink in my garage door but that is a task for another day. In this massive Konmari declutter video, I’ll show you are we took our garage from a giant mess (it happens–it’s life!!) and transformed it working just 30 minutes a day for a week. In this clean with me motivation video, we purged 50% of the mess, and along the way, I share with you tips for decluttering and staying organized. It doesn’t have to look like Pinterest nor do you have to become a minimalist to love your space. True minimalism is about keeping what you NEED and USE: to love your space. Hope you enjoy!

Love this K- thank you for your honesty and your awesome ideas!
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Looks like too many trips to the Dollar Tree. Nice to see your husband pitching in to help you for a change
I’m motivated by your success & enthusiasm for what is a daunting challenge. Thanks for keeping it real! Do you keep an inventory of donations for tax purposes?
I recommend talking to a tax professional to find out what is the best approach for you. Thanks for watching!
Hi Kathryn,
I love your blog. Being organized is in my heart& I want to be organized, but have a hard time figuring out how. I feel that after finding your blog, have so many great ideas to get there. Especially this garage one-Awesome!
I noticed inspirational words framed throughout the home. Can you share a cheap way to do that? Also, where did you get your ottomans?
Thank you for sharing & also for highlighting that it’s ok ( and not realistic)to be perfect. Have a blessed day!
Just a suggestion for safety purposes….I noticed you hung your shovels with the sharp parts facing out. This is dangerous and could cut someone. You should hang them sharp parts against the wall. This also applies to rakes.
Thanks for all your inspirational videos. I am in Canada ,where we have a Dollar Tree and I love going there. Keep up the great work! Blessings to your family!!
Thank you, Susan, for watching and commenting!
So timely- thanks Kathryn. Our garage is much worse as I am a collector (my family would say hoarder ?) of old vintage and rustic furniture for repurposing projects – the problem is that not much repurposing has been happening lately! Add to that the fact that we are in the process of updating/renovating our house and we just have too much stuff.
It is a 3 day weekend here so we are making a big start and will be spending the next 2 weeks working through the main spaces that need decluttering. We have signed up for what is called The Garage Sale Trail which is a weekend where families and organizations across the country (Australia) hold simletaneous garage/yard sales towards the end of October. What we don’t sell will be sold on Facebook marketplace (the more expensive items) or donated. I just want it gone ASAP so we can get on with our renovations and be enjoying our home more. I’m really looking forward to that feeling of a huge weight being lifted when the clutter is gone.
Your video has really inspired me for how I’d like our finished garage to look, leaving room to store our camper trailer.
Starting Saturday morning I’m getting ruthless and purging our home and lives of the excess stuff!
So glad to hear you are motivated to free yourself of the excess clutter. Enjoy your new space and freedom!
